You can download software for free at http://us.dongtaiwang.com/loc/download_en.php （there have to version of Freegate, Professional Edition and Emergency Edition, the Porfessional is good enough for most people.）or other download site such as http://www.download.com/ , just search for ” Freegate “. The name of the executable file changes frequently and randomly to get around filters, and may look like a short series of letters and numbers (e.g. “fg679p3b7.exe”)

After you download the stand-alone file, double click it to get started.

When you launch Freegate, you’ll see its main windows (F-1),and Freegate will automatically open Internet Explorer and display the Freegate Search page http://127.0.0.1:8580/loc/phome.php?v=6.98&l=409 ,which will confirm that you are using Freegate correctly through an SSL-encrypted tunnel, the URL is the IP address of you won PC and only works when using Freegate.

If all has gone well, you can start browsing normally using the automatically-opened Internet Explorer window to browser anonymously.

If you are connected to Internet through a proxy server, typically FreeGate will detect it automatically, if FreeGate does not detect it correctly or you want using certain proxy server, you need manual configure FreeGate to using this proxy server.
Click on Server > Proxy Settings > Manually Set Proxy + Free, Enter your proxy settings. And click on to save the change.

If you want to use another application with Freegate (for example, the Opera browser) , you need to configure them to use Freegate as a proxy server .The IP address is 127.0.0.1, and the port is 8580.

Click on Option > Proxy Setting > Manual Proxy Settings, Enter you proxy settings, In this tutorial I’m considering proxy as 192.168.0.1,Port 80.

Click on Ok to save the setting.

If you want to use another application with UltraSurf (for example the firefox browser) ,you have configure them to use the UltraSurf client as a proxy server; The Proxy IP address is 127.0.0.1 and the Port is 9666.

You can open the UltraSurf User Guide by clicking “Help” in the UltraSurf main window.

1. Install the extensions

You will need to go to the Google chrome extension home page , to select and install the extension(s) that you want (Figure 1).

Choose the extension(s) that you want to use and click on “Install” for each one(Figure 2), once you have clicked “install”, you will see the following message for each extension you have chosen(Figure 3).Click “Install “to complete the installation.

After installing the extension that you want to use, Chrome will look like this (Figure 4), Notice that extension(s) are displaying side-by-side in the upper-right corner.

2. Uinstall the extensions

Now that you have new extensions, how do you access them or delete them if you change your mind about them? The extension manager can be access in two ways.

Type or paste “Chrome: //extensions” (without the quote marks) into the address bar and hit “Enter”.

Access it by clicking the wrench icon and then Extensions (Figure5).

Here is what the extension manager look like (Figure 6). To uninstall any of the extension simply click on the “Uninstall” button.
